Do you ever have one of those days that seem so long that everything you do doesn't seem to go smooth at all?
Starting with a late start to drop off your kids to school, hitting every red light when a green one could be used, You finally get to school and your child gets a tardy note.
The day goes on with everything not going your way. Un expected furnace repairs, and a ticket from the police officer. Toward the end of the day, you are ready to be done with the day and start a new one?
Well, today was one of those days for me. Just as I was almost done with all the days chaos, having one child sick at home with my husband and on my way to take my other two kids to Church, I got pulled over by a police officer. I wondered what I had done wrong, but still did as was told.
Officer: You have the wrong light turned on, and making a right turn at a red light required a wait than you did. Ticket for $165
Crushed I felt, but had to put my self together and started to ask God's strength and His continuous joy in me. It was a moment I felt I needed to remind my 6 year old in the car and my 3 year old that God is in control and we still have to count all the blessings.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
My 6 year old was very concerned and he prayed for me as he realized that we didn't have the money at the moment but had to trust God to continue to care for us like He always does.
Praise God that by the time I got home at 8pm, I didn't think more of the events of the day, but instead thought of God's love and how I can come to Him any time and talk to Him as my friend and I get comforted.
